A Two-Tone Diamond Engagement Ring

A bespoke engagement ring handcrafted in 18ct rose and white gold around a client-supplied princess cut diamond. The design combines clean contemporary lines with subtle custom details, including hand-pierced motifs beneath the setting and baguette diamonds set into the shoulders. Every component was fabricated, assembled and finished by hand in our workshop.

Design Development & Brief

The client supplied a princess-cut diamond and wanted a classic engagement ring with an Art Deco touch.

Working from sketches and the proportions of the centre stone, we developed a two-tone design featuring a white gold setting and rose gold band. Tapered baguette-cut diamonds were incorporated into the shoulders to complement the geometric shape of the centre stone, while hand-pierced details beneath the setting added interest from every angle.

The design was developed around the client’s princess-cut diamond, with tapered baguette shoulders and a hand-pierced gallery adding custom detail beneath the setting.

Inside the Workshop

This ring was built by hand from individual pieces of precious metal. The rose gold band was rolled and formed from raw stock, while the white gold setting and shoulder components were fabricated separately before assembly.

The workshop photographs show the progression from raw metal to the completed structure, including forming the band, constructing the setting, creating the hand-pierced details and preparing the components for final stone setting and finishing.

The Finished Piece

The finished ring combines warm 18ct rose gold with a crisp white gold setting that highlights the brilliance of the diamonds. The strong geometric lines of the princess-cut centre stone are echoed by the baguette-cut diamond shoulders and hand-pierced details.

Handcrafted from start to finish, the design balances timeless elegance with subtle custom features that make the ring personal to its owner.
