Antique Jewellery & Heirloom Restoration

ANTIQUE & HEIRLOOM RESTORATION

Specialist restoration of antique jewellery, family heirlooms and historic pieces.

Preserving treasured pieces and the stories behind them for future generations.

Antique jewellery restoration requires precision, experience and respect for the original piece.

At MN Jewellery Design, Matthew restores worn, damaged and inherited jewellery while preserving the details, structure and character that make each piece meaningful.

From antique rings and bracelets to heirloom silver, watch cases and sentimental objects, we combine traditional hand skills with modern techniques to return treasured pieces to wearable or display condition.

Based in Queensland, we work with clients across the Lockyer Valley, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Brisbane, Redlands and beyond by appointment, phone, Zoom and post.

Matthew’s experience in traditional hand fabrication allows us to restore, rebuild and reconstruct details that cannot always be resolved through simple replacement methods.

This supports complex restoration work where original character, structure and historical detail need to be carefully preserved.

FAQs

Can you restore my antique or heirloom piece?

Many antique and heirloom pieces can be restored, even when they are worn, damaged or fragile. We assess each piece individually and explain the safest restoration options before work begins.

Will my jewellery still look original after restoration?

Wherever possible, we aim to preserve the original character, engraving, stones and details of your jewellery. Restoration is carefully balanced with strength, durability and safe wear.

Can you replace missing stones or pearls?

Can worn ring bands, claws or settings be rebuilt?

Yes. Worn claws, damaged settings and thin ring bands can often be rebuilt, strengthened, re-shanked or repaired while preserving important original features.
