Tsavorite Garnet Engagement Ring

When searching for the perfect engagement ring, the client knew one thing for certain — his fiancée loved green. After reviewing a selection of gemstones, he chose a vivid checkerboard-cut tsavorite garnet from our collection. Fine tsavorites are considerably rarer than many people realise, and this exceptional 1.71ct stone displayed a particularly rich, vibrant green. Handcrafted in 18ct yellow and white gold and set with family diamonds, the finished piece combines traditional craftsmanship with a unique personal touch.

Design Development & Brief

The brief was to create an elegant engagement ring centred around a striking green gemstone. A vivid 1.71ct tsavorite garnet was selected as the focal point, complemented by the client's own diamonds. Flowing scrollwork and hand-pierced details were incorporated into the shoulders to add character and create visual interest from every angle.

Inside the Workshop

The ring was fabricated by hand in our workshop using a combination of 18ct yellow and white gold. The centre setting and diamond settings were individually constructed and hand pierced before assembly. Fine grain-set diamonds were added to the shoulder details, while the scrollwork was carefully finished to create a ring that appears delicate yet remains durable enough for everyday wear.
