A Two-Tone Initials Pendant
A personalised pendant commissioned as a special birthday gift. Featuring a hand-fabricated two-tone design, the piece combines a custom-cut white gold initial with a yellow gold frame, accented by a teal Australian sapphire and brilliant-cut diamonds. Every component was individually crafted, assembled and finished by hand in our workshop.
Design Development & Brief
The client wanted a meaningful piece of jewellery featuring a personal initial and birthstone. After discussing design options, we developed a flowing monogram set within an oval frame, creating a pendant that felt both contemporary and timeless.
A teal Australian sapphire was selected as the focal gemstone, with diamonds incorporated into the design to add sparkle and highlight key elements of the pendant.
Inside the Workshop
Rather than casting the monogram, the initial was carefully cut by hand from sheet white gold and shaped to create the flowing curves of the design. The yellow gold frame and bail were fabricated separately before the individual components were assembled.
The teal sapphire was bezel set by hand, diamonds were individually set into the pendant, and the finished piece was textured, polished and refined to achieve the final result.
